Class of 2021 (sharing, venting, etc)

no Hartt email for us. wondering if that means rolling or rejection?

@marg928 we toured Elon a few months ago… my D fell in love… but said she would have to put up with it being all vineyard vine!

@Ouiser I’m sorry… I do hope that you are wrong and there is still a magical yes out there for you.

We LOVED Elon but sadly got a rejection…that stung but we have moved on. Still waiting on 4 schools. The waiting is worse than the auditioning! Ughhhhh

My S received an email from Hartt today but they are definitely sending rolling admits…people have been finding out at random times…good luck to those who are waiting!

D Hartt rejection came via snail mail.

@Theatrical no email, no snail mail from Hartt. What does “rolling” mean

I’m thinking the next communication from Hartt will be in the mail… Almost done & then moving on! Feeling like my D is ready to start making decisions.

@aquarose26 - Rolling means they send out admits/rejections/waitlist on a rolling basis. They don’t have a set date. They send them out as they need/want to throughout the whole audition process.

.

Thanks @stagedoormama I did find out that Univ of AZ will be sending out decisions at the end of the month for those who are waiting. Sounded like they were going in the snail mail. It takes me 10 minutes to write a post with help from my cat!

I have a feeling this is the final run with Hartt. All acceptances by email and rejections by snail mail.

@MTAlabamaMom I have been accepted in the theatre BFA, and dance BFA not MT! I saw the MT showcase in NYC and it was wonderful

@Mommadrama76 Thank you! He received his acceptance letter the week of Feb 27th I believe. Haven’t heard about merit scholarships as of yet.

@Theatrical My D received her Hartt acceptance via snail mail. There is still hope!

Any info out there on Weber State BA in MT. D has multiple offers, several waitlists and 1 still waiting for, but this program is intriguing due to cost and new leadership. Any insight would be appreciated

Time for a light-hearted story. At one college my D auditioned at, we also did a tour. We saw their impressive high-tech performance facilities and beautiful new studio spaces. So what did my D gush about all the way home? The amazing workout area and exercise equipment in the student gym!! :-j

I was discussing the whole college craziness with a group of friends and one was sharing that a nationally known university actually keeps track of portal logins to help determine how serious the students are in attending that school. I seriously laughed out loud! Can you imagine what that would look like if that was one of the factors for our kids. :))

All of my kid’s recommendation letters were due at least a month ago…many were due in fall… they were required on the application so I am super confused with the “time to start asking for rec letters” comments?

@CentralOHmomof4 that comment was directed toward kids who are now juniors who will be auditioning next year. Like how they should be getting their letters of rec early like this summer late or early fall as soon as school starts.
