Would anyone know how often they get to the waitlisted students at Ball State? Still haven’t heard anything and am relaying some information to others, wanted to make sure I don’t have any false hope over here! So nice to have a thread full of positive people to help answer questions and boost morale.
Lol, I think he’s a bit overwhelmed, tech week coming up, then show week! It’s a rollercoaster month for sure. Of course that special decision is still pending, and I can’t help but feel superstitious that the good vibes are getting used up, ack! His parents are very happy, all choices are great, and looking forward!

Hi @eks2018 ! My D is a junior MTO at Ball State. This week is their Senior Showcase in NYC and their spring break. I’m not privy to how many calls have been made, but the year my D was accepted it was over a couple of weeks (acceptances and waitlists). I’ll bet there will be more decisions after this week. Right now the Dept Head is in NY.
Wow- I got a lot of info on decisions which is helpful with the waiting. Really don’t need the judgment now -this waiting and heartache is hard enough. Sheesh. Really joined it on my daughter’s behalf and look on it now and then.
Why not just have your daughter join? That’s what mine did her year.

Thx. Had a really rough day as it was, didn’t need to feel worse. Being an MT D parent is not for the faint of heart.

@fancytheatrekid , sorry you felt worse, you didn’t mean any harm in joining that group. We have all done stuff like that when it comes to our kids activities. This time of year is so rough on everyone especially the parents of kids auditioning (I remember this from a year ago). Keep your chin up, it will be done soon enough and then you can start stressing about sending in all those tuition and fee checks…

Hey not being mean or super judgmental but yes the Green Room is a private group for kids. My daughter is a moderator. Just please be respectful. Kids last year very strongly wanted their own space and would be quite upset to have parents breach it. Just like I am sure they wouldn’t want us looking at their phone. (Just like I wouldn’t want them looking at my phone.) I was in your shoes last year and it is very hard. But really it is their journey and their experience. Let them have their space as they begin growing into young adults - after all they are the ones going away to college!!

My comment was just in general. Seems like quite a few people did not know what the Green Room is and were asking about it on back pages. Just trying to get the information out there.
