Hey all! I know a lot of us are still waiting to hear from a few more schools, for me specifically it’s NYU and Roosevelt. Does anyone remember when/how they notify?
My S received an acceptance from Illinois Wesleyan today! Big envelope with merit, letter dated 3/9, he auditioned 3/3.

Did anyone here audition for Point Park U? Same situation as with CMU - does it mean anything if they were sent to the other room to audition as well?

@DramaRama we are still waiting to hear from Hartt as well- we auditioned 2/17—they notify snail mail and in order of audition date- did you audition then too? I’ve been stalking the mailman! Anyone also waiting to hear from Ball State? We auditioned at Chcago U and still haven’t heard…

I believe Ball St. has finished making offers for MT and Acting. I heard that from a parent of a current student. Waitlist notifications should go out very soon.
@Fergie978 I wouldn’t read anything into ANY program at this point! Point Park is notifying students on March 14.
We are also waiting on Hartt and Roosevelt and a few others. Hartt she auditioned at Chicago Unifieds.
@jenrenalt I heard from a student that Roosevelt is going out by snail mail this week…but there may be emails too. I don’t think it’s a phone call.
@jenniferm1973 Who knows??? Yes, they said they were notifying by March 14. But they did that at my daughter’s audition and we didn’t hear of them doing that at any auditions before that, so we were like ???
@Fergie978 It says March 14 on their website, so I am assuming that’s what it will be!
Roosevelt has always sent emails in the past. They just got back from spring break, so this is usually the week it happens.
Amen to that @DramaRama ; my D got her rejection email from CMU today as well, but she and I are both relieved that it wasn’t a “Yes” (not that it would have been anyway based on her audition @ Chicago Unifieds) so that we weren’t tempted to consider a school that admittedly is great at MT - but IMO NOT for $200K+ for four years…she did CMU pre-college last summer and knows what (and whom) she would have gotten involved with CMU Drama, so no tears in our household over the CMU rejection - but again, congrats to those that do get accepted to CMU MT as that is quite an accomplishment…D has 4 other acceptances at other very-select (and much better value IMO) MT college programs, and we are looking forward to those visits over the next 4-6 weeks.

@loribelle The Director said at the audition that notifications would start on March 15 and could go up until April 1! I also thought he said that they would notify via email, but I could be mistaken.
Per my son who is at Roosevelt/CCPA, letters are in the mail and emails will go out this week. Hang in there everyone!! I know how tough this, but you all will find the best fit school for you! And even if you don’t, there are other options available (gap year etc)
