Class of 2022 (the journey); sharing, venting, discussing

Waiting on 4 here…fairly certain they will be no’s since the schools are very competitive.

@artskids @MTmom2017 @collegemom2000 - Holy Cow! I absolutely did not realize how lucky we were to be getting the results so quickly (although it hasn’t felt that quick)! S completed 15 auditions for 14 schools so we had a lot that we needed to hear from. I guess it is just the luck of the draw that the schools he picked tend to notify earlier. His last one won’t notify for 2 weeks so I will send all of my good vibes and karma out in the universe for everyone that still has multiple irons in the fire!

@lots2learn

Looking forward to having all of the information and moving onto the part where we can get to a
                          decision and get excited!

I could not agree more!!!

We have 2 left to hear from-hoping for some good Irish luck; and that the FA letters aren’t April Fools jokes! Good luck to all!

We have 9 left, 3 of which are academic only.

All 8 of my D’s are artistic. I wonder she’s in some sort of terminal holding pattern.

We are also waiting on 5 plus an academic/financial for one that already gave her the artistic admit. Tick. Tock.

^^^I didn’t even count waitlists and financial aid. The waitlists will extend the season into at least late April I assume!

@owensfolks :)) the FA letter isn’t a joke! here! here!

@mommaofdrama My d got a big envelope yesterday with an acceptance to Wagner, a very nice scholarship, a hand written sticky note, and a rejection to the theatre performance major. Just a warning…

For those waiting for results from schools which have informed some people, you may want to have your student call admissions to make sure they have everything they need. D had to call Montclair 3 times because they kept “losing” her transcript and/or test score! (Only to be rejected after all of that—grrr—why have us go through all of that? The rejection was fine for my D, as she wasn’t feeling it there, but it was still aggravating to go through all of that for it.) It was quite odd. But, it happened to at least one other Montclair applicant on CC, too. Another school also claimed to not have one of those items around this time that year, yet everything for her file at all schools had been sent by October!

@0827NJ We got the same envelope from Wagner.

@mtmom911 Syracuse last year sent an email with a link you click on which had your decision.

@collegemom2000, my notes say to expect to hear from Emerson on 3/14 or 3/15. If anyone has more info, please share!

My D said that somebody posted in the Green Room yesterday that they called Emerson and the response was that they would notify before April 1st. Let’s hope for sooner rather than later.

It was originally supposed to be 3/15. However, there has been some “chatter” about the fact that decisions would be delayed due to the weather they’ve had recently. Haven’t heard an update today on whether it will be today or Monday.

I second what @myloves says about calling or emailing schools you are waiting to hear from. S was waiting on 2 schools that seemed to already put out decisions weeks ago and we were able to get answers over email very quickly. One school apologized saying there was a glitch in admissions notifications and another one also said they were having issues. They both gave him his decisions with the email but we still haven’t heard (mail/email/phone call) from the actual admissions department so we still would have been wondering!

im waiting on emerson and going crazy too. the weather didnt delay other boston schools more than a day so im hoping its today rather than monday. Gah! edit: not a musical theater major but the official emerson forum is basically dead so im looking around CC for updates.

crickets…I am going to be mad if Roosevelt doesn’t notify today. I just want to know so I can move forward…

@MTdreamz SAME!!! please just tell us so we can plan
