Curious with Roosevelt. Would they offer a spot in both and let you pick or just one option? So, we shouldn’t be receiving anything else?
@fairlyoddmom That’s a good question - I am assuming that it would be for the concentration they applied to. But that being said I am not an expert

I am at work and did not tell D emails were rolling out (because I am not allowed to tell her what I find out on this site). She just called and is leaving with frends for dinner and bowling and I don’t think she will look while out…so I guess I will find out later. Wait…she has her email up on her laptop so, yes I will have to take a peek when I get home :-S
I could be totally wrong but I swear they let DD audition for both. Or she indicated either somewhere? Again, I could be wrong. I’ve slept since then!
And have had 15+ heart jolts since. I’m SO ready to be done with this process. My hope is that my D shadows this school on Monday and is like…thats it…I pick this one. Then I can go to sleep. I know our kids have all gone through auditions since they broke into the business but this is like one never-ending audition. ACK!!!
My D’s isn’t up yet either. Fingers crossed.

Question about Emerson, D’s decision letter is up, waitlisted, however the letter says nothing about BFA MT. Could it be just an academic waitlist??

@danils I think it’s the entire package so if you’re waitlisted, you’re waitlisted. It could be that they have created their “group” and they are waiting to see if someone declines. It could mean that your kid may need more need-based aid or scholarship $$ (remember these schools are a business). They may be able to split 1 scholarship up for 2 good candidates and although your kid is highly qualified, they need to give your child more $$ to make it work. So many things… don’t take it the wrong way. We certainly didn’t when we were just waitlisted for Juilliard. I know that I’m not an all-cash payer lol
@actingdreams Thank you for your thoughts. It’s just very confusing when they don’t say, “You’re waitlisted for the BFA MT program”. But I guess that’s a given since that’s what she applied for. The financial stuff makes sense given the cost of Emerson. Thanks again.
