@collegemom2000 I am one of those who got help by negotiating. I know other people as well… There are some threads here from previous years that help you organize yourself. I know of people that appealed 3 times, and the 3rd time was a charm. Just keep any positive offers. For example, PACE (school) usually gives you a lot of money. So even if your child does not get into MT, you use that PACE letter with the schollarship offer to negotiate,etc

When my oldest was accepted ED many moons ago (okay, 4’ish years) to Vanderbilt … they knew their online portal (which I think was the first year they did it) worked because they saw my post here on College Confidential. (True story!) So … :-h to all the Musical Theatre Admissions people!!
@ohiomtgirl22 My daughter is in tech theater. Emerson portal suddenly has a big red check mark that says Reply to Your Acceptance, but clicking it doesn’t go anywhere. No email yet.

Maybe it’s also by program (acting, MT, MTD) and alphabetical
So my daughter just left with her friend for a weekend away. She refreshed her mail as she was walking out the door and still no decisions. The mom promised to love her like her own if it is bad news and her daughter promised to video if it is good news. I’m happy/sad that she decided to get out of dodge for the weekend - happy because real life goes on and its time to have fun and sad that I won’t be with her either way. I of course did the whole “you have choices, good choices and you can make them great” her reply was “I just want my moment.that one moment of joy” Please oh please MT spirits please let her have it.
