@NJMOM24 take heart…Montclair is a great school and would be very happy if my D got in there! Great campus and close to nyc. We still haven’t heard from them…my fingers are crossed.

My daughter is a freshman studying MT- every one of her safety schools rejected her. Some of her dream schools gave her acting offers, but not MT. Another dream school gave her an acting offer, and she never met the acting director. Those acting offers all came at the end of March. She was so discouraged at this time last year. She eventually got into a MT program- but there was a lot of patience in the process.
She also has a friend who literally auditioned for 35 schools and only was accepted to one- and that letter came in April.
Don’t get discouraged just yet.
Hang in there and know there is a school that will be the exact fit for your son.

@MTdreamz @MThopeful2022 my son saw his Montclair acceptance on his portal. Then we got a letter about a week later. His portal showed a decision letter with Musical Theater as his major. I hope for the best for your D’s. We live in NJ so my son was hoping to have the opportunity to go out of state. But we are thrilled with Montclair. He is really into tap and that seemed to be the only school that cared about that.
