My S’s Point Park email and award letter refer to him as a “BFA-candidate.” - can anyone explain? Is he in the BFA program or will he have to audition for it later?

I can’t speak to Point Park, but every student who enters a BFA degree program at any college is basically a BFA candidate as they will spend four years working toward earning the BFA. Thus, my interpretation is that your son was accepted into the BFA program at PP and will enter as a candidate for the BFA during his four years until he hopefully earns the degree at the end of four years. 
My D was waitlisted at Ball State today. It’s so interesting that we wait and wait and then we are thrilled when they tell us to wait some more! I am excited because now we have an excuse to go see Chorus Line next week. Her final audition is tomorrow then we wait for three more decisions. And this WL to work itself out. What a process!
You are a BFA candidate while you are earning your degree. No worries. Same at all levels…MS candidate, PhD candidate.
@kmmt22 we are seeing Chorus Line on Tuesday! Saw it at CCM last year and honestly wasnt as impressed as I wanted to be. I am very curious to see how Ball presents it.
My S will likely be at Chorus Line as well.
@SoILMThopes Yes - A BFA candidate means he is being invited to join the BFA track at Point Point. They have BA
performance tracks as well so they make that distinction in the award letter. Congratulations. My D is a current Acting BFA student at Point Park. She loves the program and loves Pittsburgh too!
Such a messed up decision process at Syracuse. Today is an admitted students day at Lubin House in NYC for Falk and still no response one way or the other. Frustrating!!!

Is anyone else still waiting to hear from Webster? @belleforbroadway, are you? It’s been over a week since some people heard. It’s the final piece in the puzzle for my D. She is ready to make a decision without hearing from them but I’d really like to know all of her options, especially since they already offered her a nice academic scholarship.
@MomofJ5, my D received scholarship and grant notification from the University of Miami through their portal last night, so you may want to check your S’s portal.
Excited for the next few days… currently at WMU Jazz festival to watch my D’s ensemble sing. Tomorrow going to CCPA in Chicago to see the freshman dance showcase. Monday is shadow day at Ball state and Tuesday is Chorus Line. Then decision time?!
Same here @dramamama2022. Waiting on 3 more schools but Webster is the one she really cares about at this point.
@belleforbroadway, I’m going to call admissions on Monday if we don’t get something today. I’ll let you know what I find out.
@dramamama2022 @belleforbroadway - we were told that the official acceptance would be sent by the end of this week. We have not received the official acceptance letter yet. Hope this helps!
