@belleforbroadway how were you notified about LIU and when did you audition?
Congrats on LIU @belleforbroadway!!!
Would you mind telling me how you heard from Ball State? Email? Snail mail?
congratulations @belleforbroadway ! It’s nice to get an acceptance early I’m sorry for the no’s but thrilled to hear about a Yes!
@mommaofdrama She auditioned at Chicago unifieds and we received a letter in the mail from LIU Monday.
@MTmom2017 Thanks! Ball State was an email early this morning.
@FourStars Thank you. My D seemed fine about it. She slipped on the ballroom floor during the dance call so she was sure before she even sang or did her monologue that it would be a no. Still always hard. Maybe harder for me. lol
@actingdreams Thanks so much! It is nice to have a few yes answers before all the rejection comes. Hoping on the perfect fit for everyone’s son or daughter!!!
@belleforbroadway. We got our LIU acceptance on Monday too! My daughters Montclair portal has not been updated yet.
My daughter just received her email from Coastal Carolina!!! It’s a YES!!! Crying over here…
Congrats on the LIU acceptances! My daughter got an acceptance package on Monday as well but did not specifically say for MT. Did any of yours say something about being in the Performing Arts or MT program?
I just got an acceptance to CCU as well! It was a top choice of mine & Im practically shaking out of excitement after reading that email!
Congratulations @4llth4tj4zz !!!
congratulations @anotherBwaymom and @4llth4tj4zz!
My daughter heard from LIU post via snail mail.
@SaS0792 My D applied in the fall and had already gotten her acceptance packet from the school. Hers was a snail mail letter inviting her to the BFA MT program.
Congrats @anotherBwaymom and @4llth4tj4zz !!!
@SAS0792 Our letter specifically says BFA in Musical Theatre.
So happy for all of you…things are starting to happen! Next month will be a wild ride, then you will have some tough choices to make!
@EastchesterMom So glad for the advice and comfort of those who have survived this process. It reminds me that this
part of the process won’t last forever!
Congrats to all! This is when the hard work pays off for these kids. I love reading all the acceptances. What a crazy ride! I went thru this last year and glad it is behind us, but so happy for everyone who is starting to get acceptances!
@belleforbroadway - Yes, it’ll be over for a little while, but the auditioning and the stress and the waiting, hoping, crying, jubilation - it’s just beginning for our kids; it is their way of life from now on. My D called this morning; she is auditioning like crazy; up every day at 3 or 4:00 a.m. to get on a line to sign up for an audition later that day. She has plenty of company; there are hundreds of kids on the lines, she says. Results so far: zilch!!! But her spirits are high and she’s not discouraged. Tonight she is singing at a “Bound for Broadway” cabaret in Manhattan. Oh, and she still has classes! How she doesn’t drop from exhaustion, I’ll never know. This is the life they’ve chosen!!
@EastchesterMom Wow! Fingers crossed for a break soon for your D. Glad that she is not discouraged. That is why they say you should not choose this path unless you feel that you cannot live without it. Bracing myself for a long rocky road!
@notforthefaintofheart Thanks for the kind words and to everyone else. I am suffering in silence right now for her because she STILL HAS NOT CHECKED HER EMAIL! I am wondering if she has seen she has one and is just waiting until she can brace herself for the rejection. All kids are different and with mine it is best to wait for her to discover it, grieve, and then share it with her dad and I.
