@mommaofdrama and @mandidnam and @MThopeful2022 When did they audition? My S auditioned on Feb. 3. When his portal said no audition I reached out to them and they told me it takes a couple weeks for the MT dept to give admissions the info and then they update the portal when they get to it. If they are making other admission decisions (which they are lol) then it may be a back up on the end of admissions. My son also received an email saying there was a change to his portal I believe but not 100% sure. As I have said he is not that concerned so he just waits. I don’t think he would even check the portals. I do everyday. We still have Emerson and Florida State outstanding. He got a no from Texas State and only accepted to the BFA acting at Marymount Manhattan (where he only submitted a digital audition as he was in the throws of a show and could not get to them live).

@NJMOM24 D auditioned for Montclair on Jan 21 at NYC Unifieds. Out of 16 schools we have 3 no’s, the rest we wait for.
@brae99 Do you happen to know if Umich MT notifications are going out at one time? or will it be scattered over a few days? CONGRATULATIONS!
@njmom24 how do you receive notification on Texas State? Getacceptd? Or email? Was it recent?
By the way, I think Emerson will be around March 15.

Happy dance in NC!! My son got a call earlier this evening from UMich accepting him to the MT program! Earlier this week he got a call from Tx State. So thrilled!!
@DramaMan Texas info was listed on his portal and then received letter. The letter as sent on Feb. 19th. Portal updated around Valentine’s Day.
@mommaofdrama 16 schools. Yikes. I don’t think I could have done that many. My son was set to get in to 1 of the 5 he picked or not go to school for MT. Luckily he has choices. He is thinking about the BFA in acting at Marymount. But Montclair was one of his top choices as well. Florida was a last minute decision and he really loved the audition there. He felt the faculty was serious.

As for Emerson…he loved Boston, thought the faculty was superb but I do not think that school will be anywhere in our budget. Marymount has offered some nice money, Montclair-none but in-state.
@MTplayer My son auditioned January 19 at Michigan. I don’t think it matters, we know someone who got a call from Chicago Unifieds. I actually do not know what his portal says…he has not even checked it.
Oh and on a side note he was not able to get to Texas for a live audition because he was in show during their audition times. I don’t think any school wants to accept someone on a video audition for MT. They don’t even have a dance portion and one of his strongest attributes is his dancing.
@njmom24 was it Texas State or University of Texas? Texas State was at unifieds.
Does everyone who applies MT get invited to audition for Manhattan School of Music? And do they do Unifieds?

University of Texas ended their MT program this year. It would be an acting degree only.
