@Noreplays2018 No - NWU for us is Nebraska Wesleyan University - although D did apply for NW’s acting program (relatively late in the process) and we’ve not heard back from them yet.
@NJMOM24 University of Texas hasn’t been accepting students for MT since 2015. This will be the last graduating class. So you probably did mean Texas State.
@Mtdaughter99 and @Noreplays2018 Northwestern goes by NU. 
My son is a studen there in instrumental performance. I think the performing arts acceptances go out the same time as all the regular decision applicants - late March. I can’t say much about MT there (though S has been in the pit for a couple of productions), but if you have general university questions, please feel free to contact me. BAL!

@savedrama4momma you may have already had this question answered haha so sorry if that’s the case! If they are still doing it the same way as last year, then no, it is not an automatic no and you very well could still be in the running! It took shenco a while to get through calls last year and once they did, THEN other notifications came out, including their Priority Hold list (essentially their waitlist) which yours truly was on. I didn’t stay on past the commitment deadline so I’m not sure if anyone was taken from the list, but I imagine since it’s not everyone’s first choice, that some people get taken off the list. So don’t lose hope yet!! Hope all is well, sending good vibes your way

@belleforbroadway For some reason I want to send extra good vibes to your D and you. Sorry if this was a hard rejection to get. I told my D today not to take her Michigan rejection to heart as a litmus test for her ability/talent. Sometimes we need to make the path by walking it. The paths we see already carved out by “famous” people are not for us because maybe we are the “pioneers.”
@NJMom24: If NJ stands for New Jersey, he might not have liked Tallahassee anyway. Florida has many east coast kids at various schools, but FSU is PREDOMINANTLY Florida kids, even in the Theater D. from what I could see from my research. My D, who is a Sophomore (not-theater) at Rollins College in Orlando has assimilated really well, but she says she definitely feel herself to be a “Midwestern” minority in terms of “culture” in Orlando (mostly EC, and Florida), so that has helped my youngest D (the theater kid) understand that the “region” in which the school is located is an important (if not decisive) factor to consider in terms of the overall college experience.
@Monkeiiboy thank you so much for your message. My D got a rejection email last night from Shenandoah. She took that one so hard. Ugh- she is tough and has handled this whole process like a champ - let all the other rejections just roll off her back- but i will be honest - i have never seen her so sad. I think in her mind she really really saw herself there. She has one other school that is similarly a favorite. Even though I’m telling you - we both knew the mantra “don’t get attached”. Unfortunately she did. I’m letting her have a lil moment- she is so grateful for her other offers and i think once she grieves this one a bit she will be back on track with her positive passionate spirit. It just wasn’t meant to be.
