Dear Mr. —:
The Office of Admissions deeply appreciates your interest in the University of Florida. As a prospective student receiving your AA degree or 60 credits in addition to your high school diploma, we will be reviewing your college GPA, and the completion of prerequisite courses for your major, along with other pertinent information for transfer admission. Next week, you will receive an email when your transfer application has been created. You should be prepared upload a transcript for each college you have attended. Your major is very important in the transfer review process. Please contact the Office of Admissions immediately if you need to add or change your major.
If you are the recipient of an AA degree from a Florida College System institution, please consider applying to one or more of the other 11 institutions that comprise Florida’s State University System if you have not already done so. Details about individual program opportunities and admission processes are found on the individual university office websites. For your convenience, the following State University System of Florida website provides links to the undergraduate admission websites for each institution. https://www.flbog.edu/forstudents/ati/ugradadmissions.php
We appreciate your patience as we continue to evaluate your college-level coursework.
Does this email mean I was denied… weird how they didn’t give a full response. High School student applying with 4.1 GPA. 1470 SAT. OOS
@studentin2023 students in a dual enrollment program working towards an AA degree get 2 shots at admission. The first is as a freshman and then potentially as a transfer if you don’t get the first offer. So basically the letter is, not yet we need to see about transfer before we can give a final decision.

@Melissa96 So basically, I applied for a 4 year undergraduate program to Florida’s Computer Science but I got an email pointing towards an AA. Does this mean my only way of going to Florida is as a transfer since it is a rejection as a freshman?
My daughter was accepted! Over the moon excited!!

My son also did not get in. Over 4 gpa, all AP courses with A grades. A 34 ACT. Great essay on his brother and autism/down syndrome. Got into 2 schools of 5 he applied for, none Ivy League. The process is bad for kids, needs to change.
