I would not attend York as an OOS. You can ask for reconsideration to a different major at Penn State, ask for summer session, or ask for a different commonwealth campus such as Behrend, Harrisburg or Altoona which are 4 year colleges in their own right. But often OOS donāt want to attend a commonwealth campus for many reasons. They can be great for the right student however.
What major did you apply to and what are your stats?
@jlhpsu when you say ask to be reconsidered for a different major, what would you suggest. my son applied DUS and got 2+2. His gpa is 3.65 (uw) and sat was 1240 (1270 ss but I know psu doesnāt ss)

@MYOS1634 possibly would do summer if that was the only way. We didnāt select it mainly because of cost. We are not independently wealthy but we really want penn state as an option but as of now 2+2 wont even be considered. My son wants to study Sports management/administration.

If he already applied DUS itās going to be difficult. He could do something with BBH community communication+ sport communication minor but Iām not sure itāll work in terms of easier admission. He wonāt be able to switch into Smeal if that was his goal.
