He wrote an essay but I forget what about.
Does anyone know if UMTC puts merit awards in the acceptance letter or does that come later? There wasn’t mention of any merit scholarship in the letter.

My S was accepted 12/16/2019 for ChemE. He has 32 ACT (35 Math and 34 Science, 35 STEM) and 4.3 wGPA. Hope this helps.
@TheCollegeDad Have you figured out how to see merit scholarship? My acceptance letter did not mention anything about merit scholarship as well.
My son applied end of September and just got his acceptance on 1/23. College of Science and Engineering. We are OOS (Wisconsin). We had pretty much given up hope for acceptance!
@MomL98 congrats to your Son! We are from Wisconsin too. My DD was accepted in Nov. but a few years ago my DS did not hear anything until end of January that he was deferred and he was EA. I remember the wait of not knowing was rough.
@vpd1702 we emailed them and got a response saying that the merit scholarships will be announced by end of March. Good luck!
Applied early October and app tracker still says application complete. Does anyone know if it’s normal to hear a decision at the last minute?
We are in the same situation. I don’t know what is normal anymore. Weird to me that RD kids get their decisions before EA kids.

Son applied in early December and we haven’t heard a word. He also submitted two letters of recommendation recently and we finally got confirmation (after e-mailing the admissions office several times) that they received the letters, but nothing about admissions. We’re expecting him to be deferred at this point. Good luck to everyone!
Applied on November 11th, still haven’t received anything. Today my application tracker said “Update Available!” and asked for me to update my most recent term grades through the SRAR. Does this mean I was deferred? I updated my grades, but will I still get a decision by Friday?
My son’s tracker FINALLY changed to Update Available. So hopefully a decision will be coming soon!
Same for my D stated update available and then a link to upload recent term grades.
Not sure what this means? There was no email I just constantly check all her applications when it popped up.
Not sure if this is helpful but my D also applied to UMich and before the EA decisions were released you were able to access a page that asked to update your grades if you were accepted. If you weren’t asked for updates you were waitlisted. Something to think about…requesting grades may not necessarily be a bad thing.
@Hockeyhunting @YETI50 @kyannwy – Same for my S (who is actually in the midst of first semester finals right now, so not able to input mid year grades yet anyway). I doubt it is an acceptance thing since none of the EA acceptances reported before today mentioned a grade request. Seems more likely admissions is still on the fence and wants more data – although I can’t quite figure out why there is no formal deferral. Tracker still says 1/31 decision. Good luck everyone!
