Class of 2024 undergrad/Class of 2022 grad: The Tours, the Auditions, the Journey

@coloraturagirl Congrats on the good news and the great options!

@MMRose thank you! We hope to make a decision soon after some Skype lessons and comparisons.

Anyone waiting for Rice MM? My friend still hasnt heard back and we’re already at the very end of March!

Rumor has it that Rice is announcing MM decisions tomorrow. My daughter (also waiting) has a friend who currently attends Rice, who shared that info last night. Hope it’s good news for all those still waiting!

BU will also allow for a second degree. They said you have to wait until after the first year to add it.

Still waiting on Manhattan here. This waiting is not fun!

I’m still waiting to hear from Rice MM! It’s already April 1 today… I heard legally you have to make all decisions by April 15, so why are they taking so long? On the Shepherd website it says they don’t anticipate COVID-19 to affect the timing of when they release admission decisions.

I’m also waiting for MSM!

Who else is waiting on financials from Jacobs? It’s the last piece of our puzzle, and I’m afraid the wait may do us in!

@mom2clarinetobsessedkid, we’re still waiting for IU Jacobs financials too. ?

@mom2clarinetobsessedkid same here.

Waiting here too.

Thanks, Jacobs gang! Glad to know it isn’t just us! ? Let’s keep each other posted.

We are waiting for MSM too!

JSOM - from what little i know or it may be in my case only:
we have to call the professor if we are likely to attend JSOM and then he will disclose the scholarship details. it wont be on the website (talking about merit only).

anyone expecting to see JSOM Merit Scholarships online today?

@trom2020 how did you find this out?

my kid got a call from the college last week, after usual customary inquiries, he was told to call before making a final decision - no financials were disclosed and our rock didnt ask!

so, once we get all the decisions today, we will call JSOM and ask for the number and go from there. that is how i understood it.

ASU took the same approach. But we may not be calling ASU unless JSOM and MSM numbers are bad!

In my D’s days, merit came by email. You would never call the professor for the merit decision…as some people don’t have a professor yet.

It does make sense if a teacher has reached out…to not make a decision before talking with them and seeing if the merit can be increased. That would make sense.

But…maybe things have changed. I just think the administration would have communicated that to all. They could certainly lose a lot of revenue (err potential students) by not communicating clearly how they do merit offers.
