My son got a âYour Application Acknowledgementâ email from NYU when they received his Common App. Then after he submitted his video and other portfolio materials via SlideRoom, he got an email from SlideRoom saying âthank you for using SlideRoom!â but no confirmation from NYU. That felt like confirmation that allâs well. He probably could also check his applicant portal to see if anything is missing.
Thank you everyone. We got confirmation email, guess just took a few days due to break

Congrats to her! When we were still waiting to hear, I had started checking flights from here in Atlanta and WHEW 
were they expensiveâŠmost expensive of any city we would have been traveling to! Hopefully less expensive from where you are!

Buffalo isnât a bad alternative for Eastman flights. They can be significantly cheaper and have some better time options. Not a horrible drive, Buffalo winter weather notwithstanding.

Thatâs good to know, we are flying into Rochester and then out of Buffalo to get to Boston for a second audition. Was wondering what the drive is like between the two cities.

Doubtful cheap here either! We are in the middle of nowheresville and, to be honest, this in-person audition is a last minute decision. Only one of us will accompany D to save money. We lived in NY for a few years and are familiar with the area so only D needs to see the campus. Flights are so crazy right now.

Daughter (soprano, classical) got prescreen pass from Carnegie Mellon via GetAcceptd tonight.
Also talked to Vanderbilt today, voice results coming out this Friday.

Yes, headed there tomorrow for 1/12 audition and interview (piano/music ed). Hopefully the storms wonât interfere with our travel plans!

For people going to IU this weekend, I canât help but suggest one of my favorite restaurants right on the main drag (Kirkwood): Farm! Check it out if you have time. I did check that it is still openâŠlolâŠsince itâs been awhile. There are a number of good restaurants in this area and quite a few ethnic restaurants one street over (4th St).
Also very close to the music school (across the street) is a small row of restaurants and coffee shops where all the music students hang out. A popular pizza joint there is: Mother Bears. There was also an Asian one that was goodâŠbut canât remember the name (just checked - Ami).
I hope that you all make it there!!
