last year Peabody+Homewood dual degree acceptance came out the same day as JHU RD decisions. I assume Peabody decision would be the same day.
Eastman/Rochester Dual Degree is a YES! With a very generous merit scholarship! We are still in shock! (jazz piano and an arts/science degree tbd)
Congrats. We have heard amazing things. Friend of d24 got 43k merit yearly
Curious, is the friend a dual major at UoR or Eastman only?
Dual, heard from Rochester a couple of days ago⦠then eastman. Guaranteed merit for 5 years which is estimated length
Anyone in here still waiting for Eastman orchestral performance? (No jazz/dual degree). I am going to assume this will be the week to hear based on past threads and what Iām seeing on our thread currently!
My son (music ed, piano) just heard from Eastman this morning!
We are still waiting for performance, non-dual. Hoping soon!
Just heard from Eastman as well. Sadly, itās a no. D is not really too upset as that ended up being a video audition due to travel costs and she wasnāt really feeling it. Congrats to all who are accepted!!!
Also, donāt forget to send your acceptance/declination updates to me via pm. (Pm is easiest as opposed to posting the update, as it ensures Iāll see it!) Any music major is welcome to contributeā¦not just those applying to SOMs, as the description states.
So i hear John Hopkins results aro out - anyone got Peabody results as we do not?
I heard they were coming out today as well. Perhaps later this afternoon? Not sure if Peabody is on a different timeline. Good luck!
Not yet still waiting. They surely taking their time.
Nothing yet from Peabody. The shocking one for us is Rice. D20 (MM Voice) auditioned back in late January, and they requested official transcripts in early February, which were quickly supplied. But no updates since. Has anyone else heard from Rice? Maybe theyāre waiting on FAFSA?
Waiting is the hardest.
Rice usually tells the applicants 2-5 days ahead of their decision date. Last year the decision came out on 3/27.
We have heard from Johns Hopkins but not Peabody too. Their email from a while back said April 1. That is a long waitā¦
So Peabody applicants donāt get the result today? Thatās weird. As if theyāre trying to distance themselves from JHU.
When our daughter auditioned, the Peabody folks said that the admissions processes were separate. I guess they are!
Weāre in the same boat with Rice, although my son (MM Violin) auditioned early February. We havenāt heard from any of the schools he auditioned at, including Shepherd SOM at Rice.
