No, she received the Jacobs letter on 2/10 and the IU acceptance letter came a week later, where I think most got the IU acceptance first and then the Jacobs. Seems a little crazy how they do it.

I recall a previous post saying there is supposed to be a music school admissions announcement coming out tomorrow. Does anyone know which school that is?
I don’t know of one tomorrow. We’re waiting on Oberlin and BU, which I believe are both Saturday, 3/22, and I think UMich will send out financial awards on 3/28. Or maybe some others have heard from these schools already?

Is anyone else waiting on DePaul? I know a couple of you have been notified but we haven’t heard anything.
hi, I am new here and your post certainly resonated on me especially when you mentioned " the road less travel". certainly, my S choosing Music gave me anxiety and worry about him and his future but at the end of the day - it is their path and I am so proud of him having the courage to travel this road. My anxiety is still there but as I see him achieve his dreams one step each time, no matter how small it is and showing how happy it made him is priceless.

i’m anxiously waiting for UMICH financial awards too. Where did u get the dates?
Unfortunately my S25 got a denial from IU JSOM last night. It was a blow—we were unable to take him for in person auditions and he really feels like this is why he didn’t get admitted—he just doesn’t do as well on recorded auditions.
We are now waiting to hear from BU; he had an in person audition there and we know that went well. 
he gets good news on Saturday the 22nd! He’s a talented horn player and BU is his dream school. I’m as nervous as he is.
Does anyone have any info on transferring into BU music if he happens not to get in? Anybody with experience with this?

Congrats! We are waiting Jacobs and we are missing some documents so I don’t think we will hear from them soon. Would u know the range of merit they gave out?
We won’t hear about merit from JSOM until around April 1st.

The professor of our son’s studio reached out after he was accepted and said we would hear about scholarships “at the end of March”. And the UMich college confidential board says that RD decisions always come out the last Friday of the month, so those are expected on the 28th. I made a leap and am guessing that the scholarships will come out along with RD decisions. I could be wrong, I have no inside information, just guesswork!

we heard from DePaul on 3/10 (classical percussion), but no word on merit or financials yet.

Thank you! I’m wondering if we missed something. There hasn’t been any chatter about DePaul on CC for days. Has anyone actually had a heart attack from the waiting? LOL.

So sounds like the best guess is that we’ll hear on 3/22 for BU and Oberlin.
Anyone have a guess on when Eastman, NYU or MSM will release results?

lol, amazing what happens when speaking to one’s spouse. I now have been caught up:
NYU promised 3/23, and last year Eastman was 3/20-21, and MSM was 4/1.

Waiting is so hard! We’re trying to figure out if we’ll attend any admitted student days. There are 3 (or possibly 4) schools co-located that we’d want to try to do in a single trip since it’s a 4.5 hour flight and multiple days of missed school right before AP tests. I’m a planner, and that’s going to be a lot to coordinate last minute. It’s so hard to just… wait.
What schools is everyone else waiting for? Ours are Oberlin, BU, Western Washington, and merit from UMich.
