Not sure if it is still the case but in years past, 4/1 was the very last day of release for Juilliard. When my son was applying a handful of years ago, many studios released decisions in the week prior to 4/1.
The waiting for results is almost over! Hang in there everyone. March is an annoyingly long month.
Non-music (and other performing arts) majors have no idea how difficult this is. For me as a parent, it helped to approach the whole process as an exploration of possibilities, recognizing that at the end of it, our daughter (violin) would end up with a series of good choices, and that much more of one’s ultimate success is determined not by making the One Best Choice, but by taking full advantage of whatever opportunities she ends up with. Satisficing vs optimizing…
But, still, the anticipation of this upcoming week is huge!
This is what I expect to be the case for my daughter who is waiting on 4 heavy hitters (Vandy, Northwestern, Eastman and USC)….not enough money to make it worth it.
Has anyone heard anything from NEC? The last few years we saw it released either on a Monday or Wednesday of the last week of March, but wondering if anyone has checked in with admissions or anything.
Do you know if the results come out on the same day for everyone? I auditioned on 2/15 for a MM in clarinet performance and I’m so anxious about the results lol (NEC is my top choice). I asked one of the clarinet profs when the results would come out and he said mid-March but it’s clearly past that
