<p>when do colleges typically asses ones class rank? upon recieving the application, after graduation? im wondering b/c many colleges have class rank cutoffs for their honors courses and i think i will reach them after i graduate, but not now.</p>

<p>I dont know whether schools have class rank cut off but I do know that they have a range which they expect u to fall under.</p>

<p>i think he means that somebody is automatically denied acceptance into the honors program unless they meet a given class rank requirement.</p>

<p>They most likely will look at class percentage rank rather than your actual rank. There’s quite a bit of difference between 20/500 and 20/50.</p>
