Hi everyone!

I am thinking of applying for an MA programme at a few reputable colleges. My GPA is about 2.90/4.00, but there is an exceptional situation. Students in my department (translation studies) have an average GPAs of 3.10 due to the difficulty level of courses. My class rank is 7th of 42. Do you think that colleges take this fact into account or do they eliminate my admission the moment they see my GPA?

Thanks in advance
