If your school doesn’t give out class ranks, what do you do when applying to these BA/MD programs (since most require you to be ranked in the top 10%)? Has anyone encountered this problem before?

my class doesn’t give out ranks, but has a ceremony for the top 10% of the class which I was in, if your school doesn’t even do that then you should just apply to the programs- they can’t hold it against you.

Sometimes, a school only ranks on request. For example, my school ranked by decile, but did not do exact ranks. However, some colleges or scholarships required exact ranks, and for those programs the school would calculate a rank. Perhaps you could ask your guidance counselor if your school could check to see if you are ranked in the top 10%. They would not have to disclose your exact rank or anything, just whether or not you are in the top 10%.

If they don’t do this though, i agree w/ buckwald - just apply.
