<p>Hey CC’ers! I was in the top 20% of my High School class at the end of this year, my junior year. My school is extremely competitive, ranked in the top 100 best high schools by USNWR. Just recently, they got rid of class rank. How will this affect my chances of admission into Top 25 Universities and Top 10 LAC’s? Especially If I have good EC’s and a 2220/1480 SAT1 Score?</p>
<p>My opinion is that removing the label of top 20% is probably good for you. Usually top 10%, when ranking is present, is an unofficial cutoff. By removing ranking, you’re probably less handicapped at the ultra competitive schools. Good luck to you.</p>
