Class Scheduling Advice

Next year, I plan do drop a few of my insignificant activities to make room for Academic Decathlon, which is a BIG deal at our school. Classwise, I don’t want to go crazy, but here are the required classes:

US (I guess I’ll take AP, the only thing is that chapter notes for Euro (taught by same teacher) take a really long time)
AP Eng
Chem Honors
AP Calc AB

Then two electives:
Forensics
and I THINK AP French Lit (I have lang this year)–how hard is this?

I also would reallly like to independent study for the world history test (I love history and this class isn’t available at our school)

Is all of this doable? How much time do most of you put into your independent study courses, and when do you start reviewing?

I am in AP World History right now. I haven’t taken the test yet, but let me tell you, there is A LOT of information you need to know. If I were you, I would start studying early because there is soooo much to cover. I guess if you like history it won’t be as bad.

If you are going to be committed to Academic Decathalon, the independent study would be too much. US History and English will have a high reading load and you could probably study more history as part of your Ac Dec preparaion.
