This might sound like a stupid question… but I’ve had some pretty picky teachers in the past, and I know this should be different, but you never know…

Most of the big classes u would rarely be able to even talk to the teachers so they dont even care about how u organize or even take notes for that matter…

It seems like you’re in pharmacy, CraigCho. This is probably not what you want to hear, but it’s my own experience and my observations of fellow classmates.

With the exception of expos, most professors your first two years could give a crap about what you do in class honestly. I’ve seen people on their nintendo ds playing pokemon. A lot of people are also on their iphones half the time.

Bring anything to take notes. No textbooks except for expos some of the time. A laptop if you find your teacher talks really fast, but you don’t need to type everything down. This is more relevant during your second year. First year is a breeze because you’ve probably taken the equivalent AP classes and have credits that weren’t accepted. A lot of people don’t even end up going to class. It’s rehashing what you already know. I suggest trying not to skip too much, but it’s not going to hurt you if you do.

I graduated from the pharmacy program years ago. My roommate and I would write down everything the professors said in spiral notebooks and then go home and study it at least 3x, highlighting each time. That got us mostly A’s. I don’t think you’ll do well in pharmacy if you don’t go to class.

You’ll probably need binders for some classes if they give out a lot of handouts.
