Class walking distance

My student schedule page says that 10 minutes is not long enough to get from JM Patterson to the Armory, so is that really a problem? also more than 10 minutes from Chemistry to Cole field house. Do I need to run or something?

Haha, JMP to the Armory takes maybe 5 minutes. Your OA should have told you that when you registered. Oh well–I’m not on ENGR anymore. Chemistry to Cole takes about 10 minutes, so you should be fine. Testudo is just over-cautious.

chem to cole is uphill so it’ll be a hike but shouldn’t be more than 10.

thanks, I was kinda wondering, now I have less to worry about

get a bike and you can go anywhere on campus within 10 mins (maybe :D)

how about armory to jmp? still 5 minutes i assume?

yeah, it’s just down regents drive, cross in front of the M

tip: what i did before my classes last year was google earthed all the buildings and did the distance line thingy in between the ones i had a question about. it shows you the miles and its easy to figure out how fast you walk a mile.

Of course hills change the times slightly, but it gives a nice ballpark.

PS: I also used google earth to do a landscape viewing assignment on campus! lol  Don’t ask how I have a 3.9… I couldn’t tell ya.

Can you walk from the Chemsitry Building to Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in 10 minutes? The advisor said that it should take about 10 to 12 minutes if I rush, but it’s all uphill and it looks so far on the map.

Also, do professors care a lot if you’re late?

Most don’t care in my experience. They will most likely care more in your discussions than the big lectures.

Uhh, chem to cspac… yeah I would take longer than 10 min to walk there but I guess if you walk very briskly you could make it.

starlight, what room in CSPAC? it can take a few minutes to get around that building. i’d give it 15 minutes minimum. there’s a lot of people walking around that side of campus and limited sidewalk space, so it’s not even like you can run to class if you wanted to.

testudotheturtle has a 3.9? damn

What up what up!

That’s only after freshman year though. Should be 4.0 but I got a B+ in my easiest class last semester (LARC160).

I’m a smart dude, I just say and do dumb things :)

testudo got all the smart kids to do his homework and he just go to games to cheer for maryland :D

I am the smart kid who does others homework :)

Testudo you got a B in LARC160? I was in that class last semester it was sooo easy!

Did you have the guy for your TA? I had the girl she was easy.

Yeah I had the guy. He was easy but I just got 88s or 89s on everything! I would have had an A in a normal class, but the 91.5 thing got me. Oh well.
