Classes for Freshman help

<p>ok schools about to start and i just checked triton link [well i have been monitoring it ever since classes have been signed up for] and well for my public speaking [TDGE 25] class i am now no. 3 [was no. 4] the class size is 20, and i know the rule of thumb is 10%.</p>

<p>i guess i know the answer myself, but should i sign up for another class? should i email the department head or something? i mean the other Public speaking classes are full too with about 4+ waitlists on each, but maybe they won’t increase the class size by a mere 5 :(.</p>

<p>so what do i do? im looking for a class Tues/Thurs, but i am having no luck at something i am interested in.</p>

<p>You could talk to the prof on thursday about your situation and he/she could possibly let you into the class (it happens sometimes). I wouldn’t go as far as emailing the dept head. They have a lot more pressing and important matters to attend to, and there not going to be the ones to increase a class size by like 5. Face to face with the professor is the best way to get what you want. You could add a 5th class (you have about a month to drop w/o a W). Or you can drop the class all together and look for another and only take 4. It is hard to find lower divs (im assuming ur a freshman) that meet on tues/thurs. Good luck</p>
