I have to pick my classes for next year but I feel like I have too many difficult classes but I’m not sure if I should drop them. Next year I will be taking
Pre-calc
Physics
Apush
Ap lit
Since I’m not really good at math or science I was thinking about dropping apush and joining honors us history because many people failed this semester and I’m unsure if I should drop it.
Don’t drop the class based off other students’ performance. They were probably not willing to work hard or didn’t want to have to put that much time into it. APUSH is a large subject and I’m taking it next year too but you knew that when you signed up for it, so don’t allow yourself to be afraid of it because of how others did. f you are willing to put in the time and effort just like any other class you have put forth effort for in school, you will do just fine. There is no telling how it will be for you, but their dropping or failing it can’t predict your success, because you will probably work harder than them for that not to happen to you.

I agree with the above. Don’t follow the previous trends. APUSH isn’t that bad compared to what people say. It is a lot of material, but it is very manageable if you put in the time and work. If you’re taking AP Lit and APUSH, you should have good writing skills and an understanding of analyzing literature. Have you taken AP Lang? I would be more concerned about Pre-Calc and Physics. If you’re not very good at math (which you stated), it might be very tough taking Physics. Make sure you devote time to it.
AP Lang is useful, but AP Lit is not, unless you plan on studying English when you get to college. Very few people ever get credit for AP Lit when they enroll in a university, except perhaps has elective credit – it will not reduce the number of “core classes” you have to take for any major. It is also a very time-consuming course. I would keep APUSH and drop AP Lit (unless what you really meant was AP Lang).
