Classes for my Senior Year

If I’m dropping a class fourth quarter (I’m taking a stats course that happens to be linked with Trigonometry for 4th quarter - I’ve already gone through Calc AB/BC and don’t need to do another trig course again) for sure, is it possible to just not list it on the common application?

I don’t think it’s written on my transcript, but the credits are, so would I still have to file in a report later on in the school year (after acceptances are done) detailing that I dropped the last quarter because I already took trig? Someone told me that I don’t need to tell colleges for such a minor class and that they will simply see when I turn in my transcript.

Also, as a side note, I have one free period this year, but the word “free period” sounds negative and lazy (need it to open up more time for a sport and collegeapps). Are there any better, alternative phrasings?
