I am doing an overnight at UofC this friday and would love to observe some classes. The admissions website does not give a schedule but says that there are few classes offered on friday. Would it still be possible to find a class to visit? Are friday classes mostly in the morning? I’m arriving in Chicago early friday morning. Should I rush to campus from the airport for morning classes, or can I take my time and catch an afternoon one?

You can look here: timeschedules.uchicago.edu
for classes that you may be interested in to find a course you may want to sit in on, and to see what time that class is offered (and if it is offered on a Friday). There is a key of classroom building abbreviations at maps.uchicago.edu- just find where the class is and you’re welcome to go sit in- just introduce yourself to the professor before the class starts, and make sure to show up on time! As long as it isn’t labeled as a graduate course (or they aren’t having a test that day) prospective students are usually quite welcome to sit in on the class without notifying the professor beforehand.
