<p>Indiana University has classes Labor Day, as well as on most other federal holidays.</p>
<p>Friend of mine’s son has classes on Labor Day at the College of Charleston.</p>
<p>Cornell has classes on Labor Day, but all offices are closed. My D won’t have to work, but she’ll need to go to classes.</p>
<p>S has off at McGill (Canada)</p>
<p>S’s classes don’t start till Tuesday (private college). The private college I work at started last Wednesday, but does have Labor Day off (yay!). Students might not be labor, but I am!</p>
<p>Lehigh has class on Monday, Labor Day. Son is used to it as his private school also had class on Labor Day, Memorial Day, Good Friday, etc, etc…Messes up long weekend family plans :(</p>
<p>Here at Virginia Tech we DO have classes.</p>
<p>UVA has classes on Labor Day. And S2 had high school football practice this morning at 6:45 a.m.</p>
<p>Colleges that I am familar with generally do not have Labor Day off. Duke and Davidson have classes today; so does UVa. In addition, orientation activites at schools that have not started classes yet are usually in full swing on Labor Day.</p>
<p>Colgate has classes on Labor Day.</p>
<p>Grinnell has classes today, but students get a week off in late Oct. I’m very happy I’ll get to see him then and he’s only had 2 days of classes so far. I think he’ll appreciate the break in Oct. much more than a free day now.</p>
<p>Vassar is similar to Grinnell … classes on Labor Day and a week off in October after midterms. The fall break comes up quickly and is well appreciated. It seems to be an LAC thing.</p>
<p>Same with Roanoke. School today, week off in October. I’d like that deal myself.</p>
<p>W&M is in class today, though one of my professors canceled her class today for the holiday.</p>
<p>We have a Monday and Tuesday off in October during midterms.</p>
<p>Philadelphia University has classes on Labor Day.</p>
