Classmate's Parent is A Lecturer at Brown — Does it help her get admitted?

<p>Hi,</p>

<p>I have a classmate whose father is a lecturer at Brown. Does it somehow increase her chances of being admitted to Brown? She is also an URM and was accepted to Yale early, but she’s still applying to Brown!! I’m nervous because Brown has never taken more than one person from our school.</p>

<p>What do you all think?</p>

<p>Probably. Plus if she is a URM and already accepted at Yale then she’s most likely a very good candidate for Brown. Schools don’t have admissions quotas from high schools though</p>
