Classroom buildings

We just visited Quinnipiac University recently (self-guided tour) and noticed very few classroom buildings. Where are the majority of the classes held for undergraduates?

Musical Mom,
I am currently a freshman at Quinnipiac. Most of our classroom building are on the quad. Tator Hall is three levels and is connected to the student center, there is also the school of business, Buchman center which is also on the quad, and Echelin(not sure of the spelling) which is at the back of the quad. There is also the College of Arts and Sciences building which is fairly large and that is located a little behind the quad. It is in a forest type area, with paths of courses and it very nice and a pretty walk too. Any questions feel free to ask!

Thanks! Do you have any feedback about the Communications program?

Musicalmom, we just toured QU today and I thought the same thing - where in the world are enough classrooms for 5500 undergrads? There were only 4 academic buildings, and none of them looked large at all. We didn’t see the Arts & Science building, because it was “over there thru the woods” (per tour guide), but I drove by it and it didn’t seem large either. I ended up feeling very confused. The buildings they have are new and state-of-the-art, but there just didn’t seem to be enough classroom space for 5500 students. DS is at a college with half as many students, which must have at least twice as much academic space…

I also go to quinnipiac. There is definitely enough space for classes to be held and that is seen through our class size. our average class size is roughly 22 students per class, give or take a few. My english classes freshmen year were only about 12 students each. it does seem like we have very little class space, however, because we offer many different days and times for each class, it ends up working out perfectly. also, we do have the College of Arts and Sciences (which are three buildings) that you do not see on tours because it is further away from the center of campus. those buildings are also used as class space.

coming up in the next year, all of our upper level health science majors will use our new campus in North Haven. That will also open up more space.

HOPE THIS HELPS!
