I have a white sink and the food stains made it yellowish. COMET does not work very well and I hate to use the metal scrubber. What works for you?

My snow white Corian sink is notorious for picking up stains from onion peel and tomato anything. I fill the sink with hot water and add a generous amount of Oxyclean, let it sit for 20-30 min, and - boom - the stains are gone. Barkeeper’s Friend liquid (available at HD and other fine retailers) does the rest (I highly recommend it!)

Of course, if you want to use something exotic, you can try locating this “scouring powder”:

DH brought it as a gag gift from one of his trips abroad. Laughs aside, the darn thing cleans well! :)

^ Oxyclean is great for so many cleaning solutions…try it on a wood deck…it works wonders. Just wet down the outdoor deck and sprinkle it on in small areas at a time and use a scrub brush…it will look like brand new.

Soft Scrub with Bleach. Apply liberally, let it sit for a few hours [ with ventilation of course] and then rinse with hot H2O.

bleach, no need to set for a few hours, just strait bleach let set for 15mins rinse and wala clean sink. (i have a heckish white kitchen sink)

Another vote for Soft Scrub with bleach.

White Corian sink here. Soft Scrub and a teflon scrubby. No need to wait.

I do not recommend any bleach-containing products for folks on septic systems, and bleach does not work as well for deep food stains as Oxyclean does.

I have found barkeepers friend cleanser (didn’t know they had a liquid!) to work really well sinks and such, I have used it for a lot of different things. haven’t tried oxyclean, will have to see how that works:)

Magic Eraser fan here. I have a Corian sink too and the Magic Eraser just wipes it completely clean. Love it. (used to use Soft Scrub with Bleach…don’t anymore).

That is great! I have Oxyclean “in stock”… will try

Did I read somewhere that Barkeeper’s Friend is bad for chrome? The 192x chrome drain and faucets are wearing away, and I just remember that one of the super cleaners is super bad for parts of very old sinks. . .Can’t remodel until college is paid for and maybe a relative or two leaves me $$$. . .
