<p>It’s early Saturday morning, and I am going through my cleaning products. Some I love and some I tolerate since I could not find anything better. I enjoy a clean house but what I enjoy even more are products that cut down my cleaning time with amazing results (and thus, more time on CC :)). </p>
<p>Lots of great cleaning products out there, but here’s my short list of products that really “wow” me:</p>
<li> Dawn Power Dissolver - Spray on burnt-on, baked-on, greasy dishes (think lasagna), leave for 15 minutes or so, rinse, wash with regular dishwashing soap, and viola - good as new.</li>
<li> WOW stainless steel cleaner - I have stainless steel appliances which can be a pain to a clean. WOW (no pun intended, honestly) really makes cleaning them a breeze now.</li>

<p>I’m still on the lookout for more amazing cleaning products. I’d love to hear your favorites.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, my kitchen still has Formica countertops in a light peach color that stain VERY easily. If I set a coffee cup down on it that’s wet on the bottom from coffee drips, it leaves a ring. If I drip any kind of red sauce on it, it stains. If a blueberry or strawberry leaves juice on it, it stains. If an aluminum pot or pan grazes it, it leaves gray scratch marks. The only thing I’ve found to remove these stains and marks is Clorox Liqui-gel. I squirt a little bit directly on the ring or stain, let it sit for a few seconds, then wipe it up and it works like a charm. It’s non-abrasive so it’s perfect for Formica.</p>
<p>Krud Kutter rocks. Gets up everything from stains on the Corian countertop to gunk on the stove. Bonus: It doesn’t rip my skin to shreds like some other cleaning products.</p>
<p>Agree with Dawn. I’m without a dishwasher at the moment because we’re in the midst of extensive remodeling. I haven’t washed dishes by hand for years, tried a few different dishwashing solutions, and swear by Dawn. Peerless.</p>
<p>My absolute highest recommendation for Mr. Clean Eraser. I use it on my ceramic range cooktop and can attest to its miraculous power to get any mark off when nothing else will. I couldn’t live without it. Oh, and it’s gentle too. My DIL has used it to get marks off of vinyl flooring. </p>
<p>I’ve got hard water, so bathroom cleaning is a particular problem for me. I think I’ve tried just about all of the bathroom cleaning products including Kaboom. I’ve found white vinegar works as well if not better than all of them. It’s now the only cleaner I have under my bathroom sink. Good for the environment too :)</p>
<p>We recently redid a bathroom and the walls are tiled halfway up. Despite using an exhaust fan when we shower, we are getting mildew on the corners of the paint where the tile meets the painted wall. I am hesitant to use anything with bleach as I don’t want to take the color out of the paint. We did use green sheetrock so I am surprised by this. Ideas?</p>
<p>soozie - Thus, my post :)! I hate cleaning the house, so the less time I spend doing it with amazing products, the more time I have doing stuff I really like.</p>
<p>I spent half hour at the store looking for Dawn Power Dissolver and found no such thing…where is it, with what products, what part of the country, etc.?</p>
<p>White vinegar and baking powder - takes coffee stains off the coffee pot and mugs like a charm. And the fizz when you combine them takes you back to grade school volcanos!</p>
<p>My absolute favorite cleaning product is Greased Lightning. I use it on my clothes for pretreating stains before washing, but I think you could use it on countertops and tiles too. It gets out really tough stains.</p>
<p>Did you know you can remove ink, rust, or red wine from clothing? I found these 5" yellow bottles of spot remover in the laundry section of the grocery stores. It’s called Carbona. There are several to choose from, depending on the stain. I’ve tried at least 4 different varieties and they’ve all worked. Absolutely amazing!</p>
<p>omg, i second the Mr. Clean Erasers. These things work great. We had black marks on our ceramic tub that we could not ever get rid of until I tried this product.</p>
<p>Mr. Clean Erasers are wonderful. We use them for all sorts of cleaning jobs. I like the Swiffer duster and also use those cloths for dusting sometimes.</p>
