@ptptmom Hi, I am an OOS students that applied for business as well. My hack changed yesterday but our stats are pretty similar. Your test scores are slightly higher and my GPA was slightly higher. Don’t lose hope!! You have a really good shot!
@BranMattWill The hack worked for my son today.
I tried the hack and got the “enter activation code” message, does this mean i was accepted?
That’s probably the reason they (presumably) have a lower bar for OOS applicants. They are “revenue admits” Clemson way of saying “fine, we will take you, but you will pay through the nose” Nothing wrong with that really. It’s risk mitigation (lower grades - higher chance of dropping out - lost revenue). Admission is a much more complicated formula that most people understand, and “holistic approach” may mean many things, some completely unrelated to student credentials.
For those using merit money as the main decisive factor. Most students that DO get it, will probably get 5000-7500/year (unless their SAT/rank is godly). For an OOS student that represents ~10-15% savings over 4 years. Clemson OOS total cost is $200-230K (tuition+housing/meals+travel, etc). Being an OOS Tiger is expensive, merit or not.
Where do you go to see if your “Hack” changed, i dont see an application status! IM SO CONFUSED! Please help
Here you go: https://studentonboarding.app.clemson.edu/#
When I click the link it says: “Welcome to Clemson. To continue the CLEMSON surname Setup Process please enter the following information from your acceptance letter. You will use your Clemson username to access numerous Clemson resources.” Then it asks for the CUID number. Is this the number from the original confirmation email indicating that our file was complete or a different number? We have not received an acceptance letter by mail. Thanks in advance for any help!
@MD8407SC Congratulations! People who got that welcome message have reported getting an acceptance package within the next week or so. Seems to indicate your package is on its way.
@MD8407SC Yes, it first asks for the CUID number that was sent to you via email after you submitted your application. Next, it will ask for an activation code. However, the activation code is in the acceptance package so you cannot continue setting up your account.
Any other status changes? Haven’t seen any microbiology intended majors report status updates. Holding on to hope.
I think where some of your are getting confused is you’re seeing that initial Welcome to Clemson page when you click on the hack link. However, you must enter the CUID you received in your confirmation email from Clemson when you applied. Once you enter your CUID into that box and click Continue, you will then see one of two messages. One will say “Unable to determine your acceptance status” and another will say something along the lines of “Welcome to Clemson…”.
Thanks all!
Any new changes/acceptances on onboarding today?
A few, not as many as yesterday
Has anyone heard from agriculture sciences yet?
@bcwaeo my status changed via the hack yesterday evening. I applied in October for pre-vet animal sciences and I believe that is in the ag science department.
Anyone accepted from College of Education yet? Trying to hold out hope.
Portal hasn’t changed… OOS, so thinking its probably a NO.
My hack changed yesterday morning as well.
Honestly my stats aren’t that high so it might give others some hope.
Major: Computer science

I’m in-state and also have an older sibling attending although originally through the bridge program.
does a changed message 100% mean you’re accepted?
