Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

Not sure if everyone is getting this message on the Bridge Hack. As of about 15 minutes ago, it no longer allows you to input your CUID. When you open the link posted yesterday on this thread, the landing page message says “Thank you for your interest in the TCTC Bridge to Clemson Program. The TCTC Bridge to Clemson Program is full for the 2018-2019 academic year”.

@pama3115 so do you think all new hack changes be admittance to Clemson “main campus”

@Abmteapot
Possibly but it could be that the hack change means you made it into the Bridge program. I have no idea if the two systems are linked in any way. Most that received the main hack change update have reported getting into the University (Main)

@pama3115

I haven’t seen anyone report that their main hack changed AND their bridge hack changed. Have you?
(Admittedly, I’m only watching here in CC, so don’t know what’s happening in other social media.)

No Status Change on the hack…
OOS, applied to business. 1350 SAT, 30 ACT and 3.8 UW / 4.2 W and a lot of EC/Sports/Leadership (which Clemson does not really seem to care about). Hard to understand that just slightly higher will get merit, but these stats likely won’t even get you IN.

Just tried this hack thing, and got “unable to determine status”. Feeling discouraged for him. Although he does love USC, Miami of Ohio and UMD (thought the latter is actually more competitive than Clemson). Still holding on to some hope that he’d be a Tiger, and that the hack isn’t 100% updated yet.

@pama3115 yeah, I have yet t hear but I’m holding out hope. my stats are where they need to be but its scary seeing other people’s hacks change

My sons stats are similar accepted to USC, Rutgers, UMD and PSU (undecided). Waiting on Clemson to make final decision.

Not sure I’m using the right hack, could someone share it on here?

I’ve tried the NPC a couple times, but I’m confused. My OOS D was accepted and in her letter it says she’s getting a merit scholarship. However, her high school doesn’t rank. With her 32 on the ACT, I have no clue what sort of scholarship number we’re talking about. However, I assume it’s probably on the low end. Any idea how this might play out?

@cegfraser My OOS D is in the same situation. I had asked an admissions counselor back in the fall how they handle schools that don’t rank for merit aid. She said they get enough information from the high school that they can estimate rank. So many schools don’t rank anymore. I just hope the “estimate” is fairly accurate. :slight_smile:

I’m confused too. My son has a 34 ACT but 3.8 GPA and his school doesn’t rank - very competitive private school. Will he get any merit. Is it just based on ACT/SAT or do they have to have a high gpa as well?

@cegfraser This from the Clemson website

  • Students applying to Clemson from secondary schools which do not calculate class rank will still be considered for merit scholarships. ** Students with exceptionally high test scores who are not in the top 10% of their high school class will also be considered for merit scholarships.

My daughter went to a school that doesn’t rank and last year she got 15K (the highest) with a 35ACT and 4.0UW; 4.5W GPA . So they figure it out.

Also some admitted students are stating that they can now see their merit award on their Clemson portal You might have your daughter check our her Clemson portal. Good luck.

No status change. Hoping yesterday wasn’t the only day they update the hack.

My son’s (OOS) hack changed yesterday. Hoping this means the Tiger town acceptance letter is on the way:)

@cegfraser We are in the same boat. My OOS daughter is awaiting final news (good news that hack changed this week) and we did the NPC a few times, too. Stats are engineering, 4.05W, 32 ACT and school that doesn’t rank. Did PNC a couple times a few months ago with a couple variations and NPC loaded a $7,500 merit estimate. Did it again yesterday and merit coming in at zero. If that’s the case, Clemson won’t be happening for us.

What about the hack for Bridge? I’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find it. Would someone mind posting that again?

Has the hack worked for anyone today?

If you have been admitted with a letter indictating you are getting merit money, you can create the iroar account (instructions on OOS merit feed) and see your award. It matches the NPC for us.

Still no change here. Has anyone else on here received or heard of acceptance to the Cardiovascular Technology Program? If my D doesn’t get in, at least she’s been accepted to the other 4 universities applied for so she has plenty of choices but would be nice to know Clemson is on her list of choices!
