Clemson Admissions - Class of 2023 DISCUSSION

@citymama9 https://studentonboarding.app.clemson.edu/#

This is the thread . http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/clemson-university/2055318-way-to-tell-early-p1.html

Thank you. It doesn’t work yet. It says something about there needing to be 8 numbers following the C. There are 8 numbers so…

@citymama9 … when I try it reads unable to determine acceptance status

@2019stu that’s what d’s says as well.

Maybe 2 out of 3 of “us” are going to be accepted. D is out of state and applied to a competitive major so not sure if she’ll be accepted. Good luck

@citymama9 May I ask to what major your D applied?

@Tea4Two Hi, the business school, and I believe, Marketing. I assume it’s competitive, right?

Regarding checking the onboarding thing, previous posts indicated that once you are accepted, instead of seeing the “unable to determine status” thing, you will be prompted to enter an activation code. Since Clemson mails you the acceptance, theoretically, if you see the enter activation code thing, it likely means your acceptance mail is on the way.

@citymama9 Thanks for responding. I’m not sure what programs are competitive at Clemson. My D is interested in their genetics program.

@citymama9 All freshman apply into Pre-Business. They select their actual major at the end of freshman year (with the exception of Graphic Comm and Econ BA). It’s a larger major (not as big as Engineering), but growing more competitive every year. I believe I saw an average SAT of 1320 for last year’s Pre-business majors. @Tea4Two Genetics is a smaller major, but also has far fewer applicants. I don’t believe it’s a limited major so not as competitive as one who has only a certain number of spots. Of course calling them will get your the most current and accurate information if you’re curious.

And as others have said, Clemson is not rolling admissions. Based on past years, there is likely to be another late December mailing of acceptance to higher stats students. Then the vast majority of letters are mailed the week of Feb 15th.

Remember that your applicant is competing against those within the major they applied for, not every single freshman applicant.

@Baxter126 We visited Clemson last summer and D was very excited to learn about the Genetics undergrad program. I’m sure we talked about numbers last summer, I just can’t recall them.

My OOS daughter got her Tiger Town Bound envelope today. Accepted in Engineering - 32 ACT/1410 SAT 4.0 UW/4.58 GPA with 11 APs and 2 Dual Enrollment College courses.

@Waiting2107 Congratulations! That’s fantastic!

@Waiting2107 Congrats! When did she apply?

October 15th

My daughter got her Tigertown Bound envelope this past Thursday 12/6…it seems the December round is going out!

What major did she apply to? And if you don’t mind where do you live?

Congrats to her! Still anxiously awaiting!

@producergirl Congratulations!
