Clemson is my top school and I am freaking out because I haven’t heard back yet. I live in NJ. My ACT is a 30, my unweighted gpa is a 3.67/4, and my weighted gpa is a 5.78/7. I am very involved inside and outside of school. 13 kids from my school (that I know of) applied so I am very nervous. I was just wondering what other people think of my chances of getting in.
@citymama9 mine just changed. A few days ago it said “unable to determine acceptance status.” Today it says “must be a C followed by 8 numbers.” And its the same # that I used a few days ago.
Wonder what that means? Maybe nothing.
It doesn’t ask for a code like the thread says it should.
@Tuxrd2 Hi, I just checked and my daughter’s still say’s “XID must be a C…”. The same as last week. I wish I could tell you what it all means, but I’m clueless.
The same thing happened to me, rather than copying and pasting my number I typed it in and it worked.
Hey All — there was a thread last Spring while we were awaiting admission decisions about the activation codes and a way to try to beat the system and find out ahead of time. Good luck!!

I’m sorry if this has been asked and answered. When you get your acceptance letter do you also receive notice if you’ve been admitted into the Calhoun Honors College?
@Tea4Two- I think the honor’s college notification will come separately.
@Tea4Two Honors acceptance comes February 15.
@burghdad Thank you for responding. BTW, we are in Pittsburgh as well.
@HDcollegeready About 85%-90% of the letters go out in February. Don’t freak out at all if you haven’t heard yet.
@Baxter126 There really doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason for why some are going out now and others later. I know my D applied before some that have been admitted.
@Tea4Two - There actually is a system. It doesn’t matter when you submitted your application. Clemson doesn’t have rolling admissions. The letters that go out prior to the February 15th mailing are typically to the students with the top scores who have earned the merit scholarship money. Generally, the applications are reviewed by the specific departments/majors so they tend to go out in a batch from there or with the a specific college. Also, for in-state students, the Palmetto Fellow scholarship recipients tend (mostly) to hear but late December. There are a few exceptions to those rules, but this has been the pattern for the last several years.
@Baxter126 Thank you for that information.
Anyone hear from Clemson nursing yet?
Or Education?
Or Genetics?
To those with acceptances, have you also received an email? I have read in previous posts that an email is sent outlining next steps, housing apps, etc. Anxious type A mom here, and we will be out of town for the holidays!!! Don’t know what I’ll do without mail! Would love a nice Christmas surprise for my son
Yes, I was accepted at the end of November and about a week later received an email from Christopher Porter (who I think is the admissions director?) outlining many things and had links and such. A separate congratulatory email was also sent.
@mommamo! if you follow that link that someone posted earlier you can find out before you even get the email. That was a very helpful hint!
