Yay @4n2yrs! Now I can finally stop following this thread…I was just following to see what your triplets found out Best of luck to them!
@ladyvette826 I’m going through bridge too. Tell your daughter to join the bridge Facebook group!
@Britmom5 Did your son get in to Audio Tech? Congratulations if he did. My son was waitlisted. Very selective program. He’s accepted the waitlist and will send an LOCI, but not optimistic. You never know though!
We haven’t heard either way - so I’m assuming not. Very similar stats to your son, and lots of experience. Good luck with the next phase - and whatever it brings!
@Britmom5 Not necessarily!! Another batch of acceptances went out late last week. Your son’s acceptance could be in there. My son’s letter was dated 2/6, and we received it 2/16. He has an interview at Jacob’s School of Music at Indiana U for their Audio Engineering/Sound Production major. Fingers crossed!!
Thanks for your well wishes, and I wish you and your sons all the best going forward .
Still nothing in MD. And with holiday today - just another day of waiting. Hack worked for both admission and student visit day. Just waiting…
@Pumpkinlily
Hello and hope you are well. Regarding the summer start. Essentially admissions saying it is because they have no space to take certain courses in the fall but no real further information as to why she could not just start in fall. I think it may have to do with her Act score of 28. She is a 4.0 student as well and heavily involved in extracurriculars, 4 year varsity sport member, state champion, captain, etc… (all that most others have on their resumes) and was accepted direct admit to South Carolina Business school, Indiana University Kelley school of business, Alabama business school, Miami University business school, U of Florida just to name a few. She was deferred from UGA so still waiting. Both Clemson and UGA were her top choices. I completely understand your situation and sympathize with you. I wish they gave me more information but unfortunately very vague. We are headed to South Carolina next and then to Alabama to visit. I cannot say as of now that she will accept Clemson’s conditional offer. I wish you all the best and we will stay in touch if my daughter decides to go the Clemson route. Best wishes and blessings to you and your decision. You will find the right fit!
@RMSqueencat Best of luck to your son!!!
Can someone give me some more information on the summer start at Clemson? Clemson is my number 1, but I have several conflicts during the summer that would impede my studies at Clemson in the summer. Is there any way I can switch to Summer I (May 5 - June 21) instead of Summer II (June 26 - August 5) session? Also, how many students are in this? And has anyone heard anything from other students who have done it before? Thanks!
@Crocco25 I would call admissions directly so you get accurate information.
@hicksychicks Thank you so much for the information. I am going to call admissions today. I have 29 college credits that will be transferring- I looked them up on their transfer credit equivalency page. I don’t get it. I appreciate your info and best of luck to your daughter with her decision!
@Pumpkinlily @hicksychicks - Please do continue to post any information you may receive on the summer admittance. I think there are quite a few of us that received the same decision and are confused. The cost is high, the meal plan makes no sense (how are you supposed to be there for 7 weeks and live on a total of 40 meals at the dining hall. Understand you can buy Paw Points, but this is less than ideal), and it seems like they are admitting some really strong candidates into this program with no explanation of why.
@zline I will keep you updated with anything that I find out today.
@Pumpkinlily Yes, please do! Thanks!!
My son was also admitted for summer. We’ve signed up to go to down to Clemson to the information session on March 29 to get more information. Not sure how the whole thing works & he’s not too happy about having to leave for school 2 months earlier than he would have had he been accepted into the Fall semester.
Passing on the summer option but son is excited to be attending U of Michigan. Congrats to all accepted as a Tiger.
@NAL112576 - We are also looking at going to information session but my understanding from reading their material is the session is only 1.5 hours long. Hard for us to justify an expensive trip down from the NorthEast for 1.5 hours. Have you heard if the 1.5 hours is actually correct?
Hey everyone! I was admitted through the bridge program and have created a Facebook group (Clemson University Bridge Program Class of 2023) so we can get to know each other before the fall. Please join/ tell your kids so we can get everyone we can in the group!!!
@Zline yes it is 1.5 hours. We are from NJ but Clemson is my sons #1 and if this is the only way he gets in I figure it’s worth a trip down to get all the details
@Zline I spoke with admissions today and they said this is a new program that they started this year. Copying off of other large schools like Penn State to be able to admit more quality freshman than they have room for in the fall. I really didn’t get much more out of the conversation than the info provided in the acceptance package and the website. It is new to them and they are receiving a lot of questions about it. I registered for the March 29th summer bound info session and the March 30 admitted students day. Will wait for my last 3 decisions from NCSU, VA Tech, and U of Georgia and then decide if I’m going to consider this option or not. My school gets done late…like around June 21, so I have a lot to think about. Good luck to everyone. It’s an honor to be accepted, just may not be right for me.
