Two points!
We were at the gameāgreat game to watch but a lot of disappointed Tigers
watched with Clemson son at home for spring break. Disappointing- refs let the teams be very physical, which McNeese St. took full advantage of (as they should, if allowed)
Has everyone else who applied for the Honors program heard back by now, one way or another? My S25 heard back about merit scholarship, but not yet on honors. It may be complicated by the fact that he submitted a day late. Nevertheless, on the applicant portal it indicates āawaiting decisionā. thanks for feedback!
My son heard back with an acceptance to the Honors College on 3/6.
The way I understand it is that he will not hear back unless for some reason there are openings left in the Honors College after everyone else who submitted an application on time has accepted.
thanks for your response- I think youāre probably right!
For folks attending Tigertown Takeover this weekend - have your schedules changed? My son signed up the first day that he could, within an hour of the schedule being open to make sure he was able to request the sessions he wanted.
As recently as last week (3/19) this was the schedule that was included in the email they sent confirming attendance:
Your Schedule
9:00 AM Welcome ** ** Littlejohn Coliseum
10:30 AM: College of Architecture, Art and Construction Session
11:45 AM: Lunch
1:00 PM: Clemson Home (25 min)
1:35 PM: Student Life Fair (25 min)
2:15 PM: Student Panel
3:30 PM: Clemson Athletic Experience
Today, he got an email noting there had been a āschedule updateā and this is what it included:
Your Event Schedule
Click the link next to each session to use your phone to navigate to that location. Staff and student volunteers will also be available throughout the day to guide students and families between locations.
9:00 a.m. Welcome | Littlejohn Coliseum
2:15 p.m. Student Panel | Hendrix Student Center, Room 204
3:30 p.m. Clemson Athletic Experience | Hendrix Student Center, Room 201
Heās sent an email to the admissions office, but does anyone know what this means? Did they cancel the other sessions or is this just some way of telling him what the rooms are but they are only announcing rooms for three things?
Frankly, the only things he really cared about are the three that are now missing. The ones that are left he added sort of as filler. Weāre driving a long way, taking off work and missing a day of school that has two tests scheduled, not to mention paying for hotels and gas at a time when Iām already struggling to consider Clemson, the most expensive and farthest away of his admittances, as a good idea. I donāt want to do this trip and not see the things that are the reason heās going (and what heās trying to use to help him decide between schools.)
Hopefully we hear from the admissions people before we have to start our trip.
Ours did the same, but when we went into his registration page, the specific college (Business) was still there. It may be that they are separate from the general presentations shown above. We hope so as we are traveling from MA specifically for the college presentation?
Exactly! We arenāt travelling as far, but itās specifically for the college presentation. He tried to go into the registration page, but the link doesnāt seem to be working right now. Iām hoping thereās a weird system glitch and not that they deleted everything he cared about.
I would think so since the original invitation had two sections. One for the specific college information that we registered for and one for the āotherā presentations. Iām sure if a glitch happened they would allow them to attend what they wanted. We went to a similar day at another college and you could change which session you wanted to attend.
Good points! Thank you! With my S22 we didnāt do any accepted students days - he played a spring sport and it was important to not miss their Saturday competitions. And for S25 this is the first of the admitted students days that heās attending, so we havenāt done one of these before.
Unfortunately, my youngest son has an unexpected surgery and wonāt be able to make it. Iām sure others wonāt be there either and space will open up, so he might be able to experience more than he thought.
Hope all goes well and he recovers quickly!
FYI - got a response to the email tonight. It sounds like there was some kind of systems hiccup that generated emails with weirdly abbreviated schedules. All is well and the things he signed up for are still on his list.
Thank you!
Does anyone know if the final financial aid packages went out yet? For need based?

My daughterās classmate appealed summer start and found out today the appeal was accepted and she is now Fall 2025 start. Her reasons were financial hardship paying for summer and she already has plenty of dual enrollment credits. I donāt know if the appeal process has passed but maybe this will help future people reading.
Does anyone have any info regarding how much tuition usually increases for OOS every year? Or historical data?
