What is summer start? Seems like an advantage/good thing….no???
Mine was EA, now waitlisted so could be by major as well, discussed closed majors.
I think the early action picked mostly kids with extremely high stats and the rest were deferred to regular decision. My daughter was deferred from EA and waitlisted today. GPA 3.67 unweighted GPA (3.8 something weighted) and 29 ACT. Architecture major (extra selective).
Daughter accepted for summer start- 4.0 unweighted OOS test optional- communications
Waitlisted. OOS with 3.8 and 32 ACT. Does anyone know of everyone will be notified in the beginning of June that you are off the waitlist, or is it on rolling basis?
Yes, the major must have something to do with it. My daughter got in EA and has strong stats (4.24W, 32ACT, OOS) but I’ve seen higher not get in.
My son got in!! Summer Start 25!!
All of those summer start kids are going to have a leg up on making friends. It’s going to be great. Congrats!
In-state deferred from EA. Accepted into the Bridge program, which I feel is kind of a hustle. Pay full Clemson tuition and go to a juco.
And 6 credits done!
D25 in. Fall Business. OOS 4.98 WGPA, 1310 SAT. Deferred from EA. Submitted SATs after deferral.
Summer start with second choice major (not nursing). OOS with 4.2 GPA 33 ACT. Not much else you can ask of your student.
Live on campus, get extra academic help, and guaranteed Clemson attendance. For some kids it would be perfect.
Having said that, if you have a direct admit to another on par university, the bridge program might be a hard sell.
Highest in 2021 was $12,000. My daughter gets $10,000, 3.95 uwgpa 33 act, but I think it’s more competitive today.
deferred from EA, OOS CS, IN TODAY for fall 25…curious…did anyone get merit with their acceptance or is that a separate notification? I keep seeing a merit grid with stats aligned to $$$ amounts floating around…is that a good barometer (for those who have seen it). congrats to all!
My older daughter is a freshman. Merit came later. And much lower than what schools offerred. She rec’d $6.5K per year. Accepted EA and Honors
EA app here, also OOS: waitlisted and frustrated.
applied to the honors school just as a back round. went TO but was 4.3 uwa gpa as she will likely walk in to most schools with 34 credits, lots of extras: clubs, cheer but /mostly community service some through the school more outside. strong essays.
direct admit to Kelley in IU with nice merit, Fisher in OSU with merit, Lerner in Delaware huge merit , PSU (did not apply to business as major), Leeds in Boulder with merit, U Tampa huge merit. Deferred from U of South Carolina and now waitlisted here ?? the whole process is a complete mind scramble. that said i believe we will be pulling our “waitlist” spot from this school
congratulations to all that recd great news tonight! and I do believe there is a place for everyone. they will succeed
Son accepted to engineering OOS with merit. 4.0UWGPA and 35 ACT. Said merit amount will be communicated later.
