My daughter is preparing her Clemson application and was planning on submitting her Common App essay as her personal statement. Then she saw that the Common App essay counts as one of the Honors College essays. Does she need to write a new personal statement for the main application, or can she submit the same essay twice?
My daughter used the personal statement in the common app and she did write another statement later. It is difficult to get into the honors program at Clemson, so I say do what you can. just over 5,000 freshmen this year and 397 honors students were enrolled into the Honors program. (8%) My daughter loves it. Her honors class is her favorite of all the classes. She said the instructor is very helpful and really does want the students to succeed. The assignments in the class are very creative and interesting. She wants to take more honors classes next semester. She only took one this semester to test the waters, so to speak. Max 10 students in an honors class is our understanding. Good luck. Hope your daughter gets in the Honors program.
