Congrats to those of you who have been accepted! OOS Deferred. We have seen a lot of acceptances and deferrals. Were there any rejections this round?

Older brother is a junior at Clemson (and loves it!)
She has also been admitted to Baylor, TCU, Arkansas, Ole Miss & SLU, just waiting to hear from Auburn and Tennessee. With an older brother at Clemson, she is most familiar with the school and campus and it seems like the graphic communications major is perfect for her, but she wants to do official visits to TCU & Baylor before making final choice. if scholarships are anything like what our older son received, TCU, Baylor & Clemson will all cost about the same out of pocket, Arkansas & Ole Miss would be less, but they just got ruled out tonight. Good luck to all of the applicants, Clemson is a great school, weâd love to see her pick it. Go Tigers!!!

Button theory was correct it seems!
actually it seems the threshold was more GPA than test scores
Perfect ACT and deferred?? Crazy!
My daughter is OOS
If it still says âawaiting decisionâ does that mean deferred?
I could be wrong but it sounds like maybe they didnât get your stuff in time. Did you complete your check off list in time for the cut off?
Button theory has been confirmed, right?
100%
totally insane that you were not accepted. Their loss
Probably yield protection Iâd assume, my friends with worse stats got in for engineering. They know Iâll be in my air-conditioned Ivy League dorm next year and didnât want to waste the time accepting me
I know itâs not what anyone wants to hear right now but just because you were deferred doesnât mean you wonât get in. They truly probably had a massive amount of apps to go through and may have only deferred you bc they didnât get to yours. So if Clemson is your #1 then hang in there!
Congrats to all the others that received their acceptance tonight!
Last year was first cycle Clemson offered EA, and the week before decisions they emailed counselors at high schools across the state and warned that there would be mass deferrals. They just werenât able to read all the applications. The same could be true this year. Deferral doesnât mean denial.
I wonder if the button will be back for RD or if that was just an EA thing?
I am seeing this a lot. My son has a high gpa/class rank but low (relative to gradesâŠbut still good) scores and colleges seem to like him
