FYI, Wisconsin will require CSS Profile (in addition to FAFSA for domestic students) to qualify for need based or merit aid.

My son is planning to apply EA with the following profile. Any thoughts on his chances?
OOS (Utah)
GPA: 3.94 UW / 4.4 W
ACT: 33
ECs: Multi-year baseball captain (All-American honorable mention but not playing in college); National Honor Society; Humane Society volunteer; and others
On-track for IB diploma and bi-literacy seal (French)
Through Junior Year: 3 APs / 6 IBs / tons of Honors classes
Intended Major: Political Science

Make sure he has great essays and I’d say he has a decent chance. I have a sophomore son there now in engineering, and a high school senior applying as an education major to start next fall. Everything we’ve read/people we’ve talked to say the Why Wisconsin essay carries more weight than the common app essay.

My son applied to UW over the weekend and his portal is not showing his ACT scores even though they were sent by ACT to all his schools well over a month ago.
Does anybody know long it takes for scores to show up in the portal and do they have to be received by the Nov 1 deadline to be considered?
S26 sent SAT scores on 9/30 and they are in the portal (student center) as received. I’m not sure when it popped up. He double checked all his portals yesterday before the deadline.
If he only applied over the weekend, it may take a while to upload everything. S26 applied 3 weeks ago.

The same thing happened to my daughter. She called the admissions office, they checked the system, found her scores, and said they would be added to her application. When she checked the portal the next day, they were there.

Does anyone know how long it takes for official ACT scores to show up in the portal? They say two weeks but every other school it’s only taken a day or two. Can anyone confirm?
We had the same issue. My son submitted last weekend and his scores have still not shown up. He called and they told him it took take up to 14 days from the time of application to link in the scores. They also said all materials have to be in the profile by Nov 10 in order to be considered. How a deadline of Nov 1, up to 14 days to link scores, and a materials due date of Nov 10 can all be reconciled is beyond me.
His were just sent the same day he applied—10/29—so there’s a good chance they’ll review his application as test-optional even though he selected to include scores. I called and was told the scores would probably post by 11/10 but no guarantees. I’d love to hear how many days it’s taken other people to see them post!

It’s frustrating. If it takes them up to 14 days to link stuff, then make the materials deadline 11/14. Why give a deadline that is not achievable in some cases.
It was about three days for my son.

My daughter applied on 10/15, and the scores appeared within a few days.

Ok, thanks. For us it’s been 6 days and nada. He’ll have to call again next week I suppose.

My kid had. Couple of months ago. All other schools have received and linked.
Same day. Once she submitted Common App to Wisconsin, she went to the ACT site to send scores. Now, I have heard that SAT scores have taken a while to get to the schools vs ACT going right away. Sample size of one on that information.
