I wasn’t watching the thread last year, but from @Zhk and @sky23

Last year, if the students “edit term” button went missing early on their portal then they were accepted during EA. If your button remained there until the day before EA was released, then you were deferred. When we posted our EA decisions, we added our button situation and it was 100% accurate. I think the buttons started disappearing around December 1st.

Last year the edit term button disappeared starting early Monday morning of the week they released decisions. It didn’t seem to matter if you were instate or OOS.
Decision night when I opened the portal there were paw print confetti and a welcome to Clemson banner. Within the acceptance was also the mention of being selected for a merit scholarship. It did not list the amount but stated a letter/email with the amount would come in March/April. I don’t know if that is how it’s always done or if it was because of the whole FAFSA debacle of last year. If I remember the highest amount for OOS last year was between 10,000-12,000 per year.

Major buttons gone too. This didn’t happen last year so not sure what it means. Edit term was the deciding factor last year. Maybe they fixed that glitch and opened a new one.

My daughter had her friends check. High stats and middle stats and all have both major buttons missing so, unfortunately, don’t think it means anything. (we are in-state)

It might mean that a decision is coming this week though. I checked 30 minutes ago and all 4 buttons were there and now both major buttons are gone too.

Same here. Just major buttons gone. Thinking likely means nothing (other than decisions are imminent) since this seems to be the case for all of us. Wish there was a way to read the tea leaves…
