Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

I wouldn’t have noticed until mentioned.

For what it’s worth (which is not much), my student applied in 2022. Applied to specifically start in the Summer Term, not Fall Term. Her Change Major and Edit Term buttons remained up until the week before she started classes. She could have changed her major or changed to attend in fall until that point.

Will AO trickle out acceptances for those “deferred to 2/15” or will they wait and release on 2/15? How has this worked historically?

Clemson used to release small batches of acceptances for the highest stat in-state applicants back before they started an EA round. I have not seen/heard of any early releases in several years.

My OOS D25 was deferred in the EA round. Does anyone know what her RD decision date will be?

I am thinking it will be 2/13 at 6pm. They like to stick with the Thursday at 6pm thing so that is my guess since it says mid February.

We just noticed that the Edit Major button has disappeared.

Ours too!

Same here!

Ours is gone as well!

Same here

Maybe they will release an update tonight.

Okay, someone remind me. Is that just indicative of a decision coming (could be denied or accepted) Or does it mean acceptance is coming?

I can’t recall if it was good or bad last time.

Did anyone not lose their buttons yesterday and today?

The website states mid February. We weren’t expecting anything until at least 2/13, but who knows this year.

I think it was decided it meant nothing this year, but did last year. No idea, but I’d like to just have it released yes or no. It seems early though? I read it was posting mid-Feb?

Just to clarify, he still has “Withdraw application” button

I mean to me it would make sense to keep that button, as I’m sure they want to allow anyone NOT considering Clemson anymore to remove themselves from the running and move someone else up?? Who knows.

We also have the withdraw button. In the early action round, the buttons seemed to disappear 1-2 at a time with the withdraw last to go and it was indicative that the decision was near. This happened the week of release but in this case - it seems early based on their projected release date. It would make sense that the withdraw button stays active until right before. Michigan is likely coming out this Friday and they removed all portal “buttons” except Withdraw.

Our edit major button is gone now too. I’m guessing maybe it means a decision has been made but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will come out early. They could just be working through applications and updating them as they go :woman_shrugging:t2:
