Clemson University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admissions

The email we received was generic. He applied to business and the Honors college. We also received similar type emails from other colleges.

What were his stats?

My daughter received the email and she didn’t even apply to Clemson.

Ah, so turns out we got the FAFSA email! I asked my partner if they got any school emails, and turns out they had a couple but just didn’t share the info. I looked at the application then just out of curiousity why I’m not getting email, and guess my kid for some reason left off my email it seems on the common applications.

That explains it. Well, in any case it is just a regular info email (saw after partner forwarded it), nothing about ā€œwelcome to the college of ___.ā€ Going with the crystal ball or speculation of didn’t get in.

I wouldn’t speculate on that. The fact that so many people have the one that references the College of Education when they didn’t apply for that makes me think it’s some bad underlying info in a re-purposed email. I also suspect that it may make a difference what people are using to look at the email (phone mail app, outlook on computer, gmail on a computer web portal, etc.)

Yes, no idea really. December is just around the corner, and then the fun begins with decisions for most of the applications on my kid’s list.

The screen-snip that I included with my post was what the email header looked like when looking at it from a gmail web portal on a laptop. In outlook, it stops after the word ā€œEducationā€.

My daughters said the same. I have not mentioned it to her in case it is a glitch. Here’s to hoping it’s not. Sure is going to be a long 2 weeks.

I think everyone’s says welcome to Education-- it’s just how it shows in the preview and on the phone vs laptop

No button changes yet, high stats/in-state applicant.

Certain majors have a limited number of seats.

New here, in state, 3.8uw, 4.5w, PACE, mostly honors classes, not a ton of EC. Submitted TO, not sure about the ā€œbuttonsā€ will ask her to check. Got the FAFSA email, checked on my phone and laptop- nothing about College of _____ so not really sure of our chances. Just ready to hear! Best of luck to everyone!

Are you seeing the button on the Common App or did you apply directly from Clemson? We are not seeing any buttons and we did Common App- maybe it is formatted different?

The button changes refer to the applicant’s Clemson admissions portal.

Thank you for clarifying, I guess those of us that did the Common App, cannot attempt to utilize the button trick and see about ā€œButton Gateā€!?!

You can absolutely still participate in ā€œbutton gateā€!! My son applied using the common app. A few days after he applied, he got information to set up his Clemson Portal. In the portal, you find information about whether the application is complete (did they receive test scores, LOR) and there is also where you will find the commonly mentioned ā€œbuttonsā€

My daughter applied via Common App. Your student should have received an email to set up their Clemson admissions portal. That’s where he/she will get their admissions decision.

I’m not sure if they were ā€œbuttonsā€ last year but this year I’d call what I’m seeing in S25s portal ā€œlinksā€

Clemson really tries to accept in state kids either direct or to bridge - depending on the major. Those scores look like she’ll be accepted. Is your student Palmetto Fellow or Life Scholar? Palmettos are pretty much a direct acceptance but Life Scholars can vary. We’ve seen some Life kids get bridged and other get direct admit. Class rank seems to play a big role for in state, along with major. Good luck!

Hey, she would be the Life Scholar. I think she is like 70’ish/230’ish so not super high.
I for sure appreciate the input!
