thanks-- is that odd we didn’t get??
It was so generic that I’m surprised we kept it. Perhaps you deleted it? It honestly didn’t say much of anything.
Check the junk email, I’ve noticed college emails sometimes get caught in there
Found it in junk!
All portal links are still present
I looked back at last year’s thread and I don’t see mention of “button gate” until the Monday of “decision week”.
I remember button-gate from last year. Good, but stressful, times lol.
How many “buttons” are we supposed to have???
My daughter has 4.
You should have 4. You want 3. You want “edit term” to disappear.
My daughter’s still has all 4. I’m nervous.
I think the buttons won’t disappear (if at all) until next week before decisions come out (if they do come out next week!). Folks are speculating that decisions will come out next Thursday, so look to see if the “edit term” button disappears on Monday/Tuesday.
Yes, I remember it starting to happen Monday night. I did not lose my button and got deferred. But then I got accepted RD.
Lurking here from the College of Charleston EA thread. FWIW, It seems special buttons appeared today for in state students and they received decisions tonight! OOS students had neither button changes nor decisions.
Last year the edit term button disappeared starting early Monday morning of the week they released decisions. It didn’t seem to matter if you were instate or OOS.
Decision night when I opened the portal there were paw print confetti and a welcome to Clemson banner. Within the acceptance was also the mention of being selected for a merit scholarship. It did not list the amount but stated a letter/email with the amount would come in March/April. I don’t know if that is how it’s always done or if it was because of the whole FAFSA debacle of last year. If I remember the highest amount for OOS last year was between 10,000-12,000 per year.
Thank you for that super helpful explanation of what happened and timing last year.
Still no button changes for us. Hoping for Monday!
Does anyone know how Clemson calculates weighted GPA? How many points are added for honors/AP classes?
Most colleges recalculate due to high schools having very different weighing systems, and they compare apples to apples (I think SC schools have high weighted grades, I know ours tops out at 4.4 tops with the most honors/AP’s).
Wondering as well
