CLEP Macroecon

So, in high school I took AP Macroecon and got a 3. Unfortunately, my university requires a 4. I wish I had studied more for that AP test, but I took the class 2nd semester of senior year so senioritis had consumed me by that point. Anyway, if I were to study for CLEP Econ over winter break, what score should I be able to get? I need a 59 or higher.

Buy a copy of REA Macroeconomics CLEP and take the practice tests that come with the book. That should give you an idea of how much review and extra study you need to do to score a 59. If you have time, take the Peterson’s practice tests (see if your library offers this online). Study and take practice tests until you score in the high 60’s or 70’s before taking the CLEP.

There is a 6 month waiting period to retake the exam if you don’t get the score you need, so it pays to study and even overprepare.

It shouldn’t take you too long to do. A 3 on the AP shows you have a good foundation in the subject.
